Testimonials

Choosing a counselling service can feel overwhelming, especially when experiencing mental health difficulties or losing your path. Having personally been in the position of seeking support, the importance of finding the right fit in difficult times is so understandable. These testimonials are drawn from my previous work with clients who have chosen to remain anonymous.

There are, of course, challenging and messy moments throughout and space for all of those, but these reflections celebrate the work clients have done while being held in an environment that brings out the softness in them, rather than the survival in them.

Kathryn is very gentle and calm in her approach. Previously I have found counselling very stressful, but in these sessions I feel supported heard and understood! It's really impressive how she remembers things I have said weeks ago and links it with current thoughts and situations.

"It has thawed me out and opened my heart"

"I feel more open to people. I understand myself better, and I understand certain relationships better. I'm kinder towards myself. It stops the defensiveness. It reduces the confusion"

"I understand why I might have taken certain paths, so I am kinder to myself about it. Understanding more about what is happening in my body and brain."

"It's allowed me to sort things out, then put them away and feel better for the week"

I like going to counselling; it's different from talking to a friend. Just you being you has helped. I knew I wouldn't be judged.

To start feeling safe and to stop some of the thoughts and images. They haven't all stopped, but I understand them now"

"Eye-opening, mind-opening, heart-opening"

"I have been working on being less critical towards myself and slowing down to think about what is happening safely and learning about my responses."
